LoVid
2007
LoVid's earthwork 7105, is a large-scale planting of the self-seeding annual Radio Calendula. These orange quill-like flowers bloom from early summer until frost and are positioned so to create the number 7105, which becomes visible from a birds-eye vantage point.
This project is supported, in part, by The Andy Warhol Foundation for the Visual Arts and the Greene County Legislature through the County Initiative Program, administered in Greene County by the Greene County Council on the Arts. Additional support is genorously provided by The Phantom Gardener in Rhinebeck, New York. Special thanks to Briana Davis and Eli Joseph-Hunter for their expertise and efforts.
