Sing Sun Room is an interactive sound sculpture and installation by artist Matt Bua. The project stems from an existing mobile home located on the Wave Farm property, creating a custom addition or outgrowth in the form of a customized gazebo. Sing Sun Room harnesses various elements (wind, water, and solar) in order to transform them into sound. With early electrical experiments as inspiration Bua employs devices such as a Voltaic Pile-Up; a bucket battery, more portable then the earth battery; a lemon-train organ (six note –polyphonic); attempts at Aeolian harps; Tesla radiant energy collection device; ode’s to Ben Franklin’s Armonica; EBow dissections; and many other surprises.
