Moscow-based Dmitriy Nikolaev works as a Drama Director for Radio Russia. His background is in theatre and Nikolaev directs on stage, sound art performances, and TV movies. In addition to his long-running drama series Metaphysics of Sound, Nikolaev has produced radio plays for a variety of countries. In the Prix Europa 2016: The European Broadcasting Festival catalogue, Nikolaev writes, "My regular programme ‘Metaphysics of Sound’ invites listeners into the amazing Ars Acustica world.
