Michael Iber,

born in 1965 in Mannheim, Germany, lives in Berlin and Coburg.

originally a classical pianst (trained a.o. at the Royal Academy of Music in London), Michael Iber is interested in the process of musical interpretation in a broader sense, leading to a differentiated understanding of a piece of art and it’s authorship. In the course of time, his artistic focus has shifted from his traditional instrument towards electronic music and computer programming. He is a passionate supporter of the linux audio world and has been reflecting his musical and aesthetic views in numerous radio features and essays.
