Loads of ArtsWalk 2008 Info Below! HUDSON ARTSWALK 2008 - October 10th - 13th
Over 200 area artists will be represented this year at the CCCA Members Exhibition at the Cannonball Factory, 397 Columbia Street. Works in applied arts, nature, photography, sculpture, landscape, contemporary painting, still life and the figure will be on display. An exhibition of children’s art from local school districts including the handpainted “Flat Dogs” will also be shown at the Cannonball Factory. The perennial favorite “Windows Are Back” will feature additional artworks in retail shop windows in the Hudson Business District. The 4 day event opens Friday, October 10th at 11 AM; the Artists Reception will be held at The Cannonball Factory that same evening from 5:30 –8:30 PM. ArtsWalk Kids kicks off the day’s events on Saturday, October 11th with activities for children of all ages beginning at 1 PM. The Bindlestiff Circus will be on hand to entertain young and old alike. Slink Moss, hosts the Performing Arts Showcase features music and dance beginning at 3:30 PM and continuing into the evening at Jason’s Upstairs Bar, also on Saturday. All ArtsWalk events are free. In addition to add to the ArtsWalk festivities, The Best of Show Dog Gone! benefit auction brunch headlines Sunday, October 12th at Noon. The artist decorated fiberglass canines go up for bid after residing on the streets of the Hudson Business District for the summer. Admission is by pre paid ticket only. When the leaves turn and autumn days grow cool, it is time once again for Columbia County Council on the Arts ArtsWalk festival. 2008 marks the 14th anniversary of ArtsWalk on Columbus Day weekend in the City of Hudson.
